A TEENAGE girl has been taken for specialist care at Birmingham Children's Hospital after fracturing her skull.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service received two calls to the top of Pershore Park in Abbots Road at 6.40pm yesterday, where a 15-year-old girl, who lives in Pershore, had suffered a serious head injury.
Crews were told that she had been on a car but was found in the road; the exact circumstances are not known.
An ambulance spokesman said: "She was at Worcester Royal Hospital within only half an hour of the initial call; a trauma team had been requested to be on standby for her arrival.
"At 9.50pm she left Worcester to be taken to the Children's Hospital. She had been anaesthetised and an anaesthetist travelled with the crew to Birmingham.
"She was described as being in a serious condition with a fractured skull."
