The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet, a group of young people (aged 11-18) elected annually from the across the county have recently completed the Big Questionnaire. The questionnaire will be made available from completion to young people across the county in schools, colleges, youth centres and voluntary organisations and charities working with young people, and the results of this widespread consultation will benefit the Youth Cabinet themselves, and Worcestershire's Members of Youth parliament, as well as local health services, schools, district councils, the police and many many more. The Youth Cabinet have decided on a target of 10,000 responses from the questionnaire, and we are optimistic that this target will be met.
The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet have discussed the possibility of entering all of the young people that complete the questionnaire into a prize draw, and therefore we are writing to local businesses and shops to ask for donations in order to build up a range of prizes as an incentive and a thank you for giving their views and opinions. The Youth Cabinet would be grateful to receive any donation of any size, and in the form of vouchers, stock or opportunities appropriate for young people generally between the ages of 11-19. All donations and gifts will be credited with the Youth Cabinet website and the local paper.
Furthermore the Big Questionnaire covers many aspects of young peoples lives, in the categories of "Health", "Safe", "Enjoy", "Voice", "Move", and "About You", and the results will be available from the Youth Cabinet on request, should any local businesses wish to use the opinions within the consultation to enhance their organisation.
