YOUNG people across Worcestershire are to be targeted in a huge survey to find out their likes, dislikes, hopes and dreams.

The Big Questionnaire will cover a host of aspects, including health, enjoyment, movement and safety.

It is being conducted by the Worcestershire Youth Cabinet, a group of young people aged 11 to 18, elected annually from across the county.

The questionnaire will now be made available for completion by young people in schools, colleges, youth centres and voluntary organisations, with a target of 10,000 responses.

The results of the consultation will benefit the Youth Cabinet themselves, and Worcestershire's Members of Youth Parliament, as well as local health services, schools, councils, the police and other organisations.

Kirsty Fraser, youth voice support worker, said: "The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet have discussed the possibility of entering all of the young people that complete the questionnaire into a prize draw, and we are writing to local businesses and shops asking for donations in order to build up a range of prizes as an incentive and a thank you for giving their views and opinions."

She added: "The Big Questionnaire covers many aspects of young people's lives, in the categories of health', safe', enjoy', voice', move' and about you' and the results will be available from the Youth Cabinet on request, should any local businesses wish to use the opinions within the consultation to enhance their organisation."

The Youth Cabinet are looking for donations of any size, in the form of vouchers, stock or opportunities appropriate for young people between the ages of 11 and 19 for the prize draw.
