VISITORS to Worcester's South Quay fountains were encouraged to draw brightly coloured chalk pictures on the pavement as part of a peace rally.
The city's chalk for peace event was arranged to coincide with international peace day and mirrored similar events happening throughout the world.
Although rain put some people off, a few peace-loving teenagers agreed to create their own chalk artwork on Saturday.
Harriet Scott, Melissa Thomas, Lauren O'Donoghue and Poppy Walker, all aged 14 and from Malvern, took part.
Lauren said: " We just walked over here and it looked fun."
Harriet added: "Peace is good."
Worcester teenagers Steph Harvinga and Emma Jones, both aged 15, also chalked a message on the riverside pathway.
Emma said: "We could do with a bit of peace in the world. There's too much fighting."
