WORCESTERSHIRE Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, yesterday announced the appointment of a new associate non-executive director.
Dame Julie Moore will take on the position in October.
Sir David Nicholson, the Trust's chairman, welcomed her to the Trust.
Dame Julie said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to take on a new role in the NHS.
"My priority as always will be on supporting and encouraging staff to provide patient care which is of the very highest quality.
“I am looking forward to working with David and the rest of the Trust board, and meeting my new colleagues at the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal.”
Dame Julie stepped down as chief executive of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust this week.
She joined the NHS as a graduate nurse at the start of a career which has spanned four decades.
Dame Julie takes up her new role on Monday, October 1.
She has been appointed on an interim basis for an initial period of six months.
