A TRIO of Worcester organisations have joined forces to sponsor a giraffe sculpture.
The Hopmarket Charity, Fortis Living, and Fisher German have come together in support of the city’s Worcester Stands Tall project, raising money for St Richard's Hospice.
The group is funding an 8ft tall giraffe sculpture as part of the St Richard’s Hospice project, which was unveiled – alongside 29 others – at the start of the 10 week public art trail, which was launched on Monday 9 July.
During the campaign, both The Hopmarket and Fortis Living and are organising a series of giraffe related events which will be unveiled over the coming weeks.
Bill Simpson, Trustee at The Hopmarket Charity said : “Supporting such a fabulous initiative is a real honour for us. It will also allow us to maximise the summer months and to really showcase The Hopmarket and what it has to offer both residents and visitors. We will be running lots of family friendly and of course giraffe related events throughout.”
Clare Jackson, Executive Director, Housing, Care and Communities said : “This is such an exciting project to be involved with. Its message is at the heart of what we do which is, in essence, all about community. We look forward to a summer full of giraffe related fun!”
