I AM delighted to reveal that H&W Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with Worcester Business Improvement District (BID) and Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire, to produce a “Netwalking” event for businesses in support of Worcester Stands Tall.
In now just a few weeks' time, Worcester will welcome 57 giraffes as part of a Wild in Art event with St Richard’s Hospice, to raise the much-needed funds to support its Build 2020 campaign to grow the hospice and functionality.
The giraffes will be placed on a six-mile route across the city, encompassing the High Street, parks, schools and open spaces.
The Chamber, Worcester BID and Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire have partnered to curate the event to improve the wellbeing of the staff whose businesses are supporting the safari giants.
I would like to invite firms to join us on Thursday, July 19, at our Netwalking Evening, sponsored by Worcester Bosch, to meet the main sponsors of Worcester Stands Tall and make valuable new connections to support the fantastic initiative that will be taking over in two weeks time.
Guests are invited to meet at The Hive at 5.30pm, before embarking on the trail across the city ending at The Old Rectifying House to enjoy a well deserved Pimms and array of nibbles.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a chance to network during and after the stroll, with plenty of opportunities for photographs with the sponsors, artists and giraffes.
After the official launch of the event, a mini “Netwalk” will take place every Wednesday from 12.15pm-12.45pm to give local businesses the opportunity to grow their network and make new contacts.
