A CITY food festival has been named as one of the best events in the UK.
Worcester Food Festival has made it onto Holiday Lettings UK's list of top 10 attractions taking place in June.
The three-day free festival, which will feature more than 60 food and drink stalls, kicks off on June 8 this year.
Phoebe Dawson, chief executive of Worcester Business Improvement District, which runs the annual event, said: "Worcester Foodie Festival celebrates all of the fantastic food and drink businesses that our city boasts.
"Worcester is a vibrant city full of wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars and we’re delighted that Holiday Lettings UK have recognised this.
"The Worcester Foodie Fest is our opportunity to showcase these wonderful businesses as well as other local gems over one fantastic weekend, which will be packed with free activities for foodies, families and anyone who likes a tipple.”
Visitors will be able to take part in an 'ale trail' around the city and enjoy free cookery demonstrations and workshops.
The demonstrations are set to take place in Cathedral Square and High Street, with family activities taking place in Crowngate.
The festival will be open between 10am-5.30pm on Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, June 10.
