Robin Walker, MP for Worcester, and his wife Charlotte Keenan are celebrating the birth of their first child, a daughter.
Hermione Alexandra Felicity Walker was born weighing 7lbs precisely on March 16. Mother and baby are both well.
Mr Walker, a junior minister at the Department for Exiting the EU will be on paternity leave up to and including the Easter Parliamentary recess and will be returning to work on 16 April.
In the meantime both his parliamentary and constituency offices will remain open to serve constituents.
Constituency surgeries will resume in April.
