AN exhibition showcased the work of photographers who have experienced mental health problems.
The exhibition at the Commandery in Sidbury, Worcester, provides a platform for those experiencing mental health difficulties and is designed to boost their confidence and develop their skills.
The participants are from the New Opportunities Worcestershire, a service provided by Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.
The exhibition comes at the end of a 16-week digital photography course, designed to increase self-esteem and confidence through an enjoyable, social and sometimes challenging activity.
Brian Bullock, technical instructor, said: “It’s fantastic to see the shift in confidence in our service users at the end of the course.
"We’ve had a great time shooting, editing and selecting the final photographs to be exhibited.
"Those on the course should be exceptionally proud of themselves, and the work they have produced. I hope they’ve found a new hobby that they’ll continue to pursue, even now that the course has finished.”
