CHILDREN'S charity Acorn has a new chairman of the board of trustees.
Mark Hopton has taken over the role at Acorn's Children's Hospice, which has a centre in Worcester offering specialist palliative care and support for babies, children and young people.
Mr Hopton said: “Having already served as a trustee of Acorns for five years, I am looking forward to becoming the chairman of this exceptional charity as we approach our 30th anniversary year.
"As chairman, I am hoping to see Acorns build in its loyal supporter case and connect with a new generation of business leaders and employees in the West Midlands.
"Such partnerships will allow Acorns to be there for any child or family that needs our support.”
