STAFF at a leisure centre in Worcester are celebrating after receiving an award.

Perdiswell Leisure Centre, operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Worcester City Council, has just been awarded the Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) mark for its facilities.

This makes it the only centre in Worcester to hold the accreditation from the IFI, a programme run by the English Federation of Disability Sport which is designed to offer disabled people more opportunities to enjoy the benefits of physical activity.

 Rob Tyler, Freedom Leisure centre manager, said: “We are over the moon."
