MALVERN Gazette reader Dean Jackson admired the stoicism of an elderly gentleman who turned out in pouring raid on Tuesday to decorate the war memorial in the village of Welland.
Mr Jackson, who lives in the village, said: "I don't know who he is, but be was planting crosses on the memorial, just outside the primary school.
"I would just like to thank him and say what huge respect I have not only for our fallen heroes, but those people like this gentleman who go a long way to ensure we respect those who have fallen and maintain our English heritage."
