TWO employees from the Worcester housing and care provider Sanctuary Group have been celebrating success in apprenticeship awards.

Charlotte Meade won the excellence in accountancy award while William Pargeter picked up the personal development accolade at the 2017 Worcestershire Group Training Association (WGTA) Apprenticeship Awards.

William was praised for his dedication and ability to produce accurate and detailed work, while Charlotte was commended for her work ethic, willingness to go the extra mile and ability to think ‘outside of the box’.

Almost 30 of Sanctuary Group’s apprentices also received recognition having achieved a range of qualifications, including level two, three and four apprenticeships in accountancy and level two and three in business and administration.

The double success is the latest in a string of accolades scooped by Sanctuary in recent years at the awards, which celebrate vocational training through apprenticeship programmes designed to prepare young people for key jobs in local business

Sanctuary’s national apprenticeship programme has been running for a decade, during which time almost 1,400 young people have been supported into work.

Apprentices on the programme work in the Group’s operations, studying for qualifications whilst gaining valuable on-the-job experience. Placements include housing, IT, maintenance, finance, horticulture, business and administration, and health and social care.
