A FAMOUS locomotive train will not be coming to Worcester this weekend due to "mechanical reasons."
The Flying Scotsman was due to visit the city as part of the Cotswold Venturer but it will now be replaced by the 46100 Royal Scot.
The steam train leaves London Paddington at around 7am on Saturday, travelling through the Cotswolds and Evesham before reaching Worcester at around 11.30am.
Passengers on the train will then have around 3 hours to explore the city before the return journey begins.
The Flying Scotsman developed a technical problem in Peterborough last week.
The Railway Touring Company website said: "PLEASE NOTE: Due to the failure of Flying Scotsman last week this train will now be steam hauled throughout by 46100 Royal Scot."
