A TRUCK got stuck in a "void" while roadworks were taking place in Worcester today.
A road sweeper vehicle became lodged in a sinkhole in Cole Hill, off Wyld’s Lane, around noon.
An eyewitness described the "small sinkhole" as a foot deep.
About 10 workmen were in the middle of resurfacing the street, which was closed to traffic, when the sinkhole suddenly appeared.
Worcestershire county councillor Alan Amos, cabinet member with responsibility for highways, said: "While conducting carriageway resurfacing, highways teams unearthed two voids on Cole Hill.
"Highways are working to address the voids, and reinstate the road surface. The resurfacing of the road will be fully completed on Thursday October 5."
