THE M5 southbound has been re-opened between junction 9 (Tewkesbury) and junction 10 (Cheltenham) following a lorry fire.
The fire was put out but the lorry remains on the hard shoulder awaiting recovery.
Slow traffic and delays remain.
Both sides were closed at first but the northbound side re-opened at around 18.35pm.
One lane on the southbound side re-opened at around 7pm.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Gloucestershire Police attended the scene with Highways England.
The junction 9 southbound sliproad was closed this morning due to an overturned lorry carrying chemicals.
