DRIVERS are being urged by police to take their valuables with them when leaving their vehicles unattended.
The latest call from South Worcestershire Police follows theft of property - from eight parked vehicles - worth approximately £2,300 across the force area.
A police spokesman said: "A number of drivers continue to ignore our advice that easily-removed and highly portable sat-navs are a prime - and simple - target for opportunist vehicle-criminals and are suffering as a result.
The recent thefts revealed by the police are: A Satnav (estimated at £300) from a Volkswagen Passat in Richardson Close, Wychbold near Droitwich between 7.30pm on 29th June and 9.15am on 30th June Stereo system (estimated at £250) and speakers from a gold Rover 414 in Northwick Avenue, Worcester between 8.15pm hours on 1st July and 10.05pm hours on 2nd July Satnav (estimated at £300) from the dashboard of a Vauxhall Astra in Shaw Walk, Malvern, between 7.40pm and 7.50pm hours on 2nd July £200 prescription glasses from a silver Rover 75 in Knotts Avenue, Lyppard Kettleby, Worcester between 1.30pm hours on 3rd July and 11pm hours on 4th July Perfume, sun-glasses and 8-10 CDs (estimated at £350) from a grey Volkswagen Touran, also in Knotts Avenue, between 11.30pm hours on 3rd July and 0730 hours on 4th July (also 152S/040707); Samsung MP3 player - valued at £100 - from red Rover 820 in Woodmancote, Worcester between 0030 hours on 5th July and 0822 hours on 6th July; Satnav (estimated at £300) from a white Ford Transit van in Tunnel Hill, Worcester between 10.30 and 12pm on 5th July Golf-clubs, shoes, sunglasses and CDs valued at approximately £500 from a blue Audi A4 in Rockingham Lane, Worcester between 9.30 on 5th July and 7am on the 6th July
