THIS a special column for me this week - it is my 100th Centre Stage. I have been writing it once a fortnight since we re-opened the Swan. So forgive me if I take the chance to wallow' a little.
I came to Huntingdon Hall in 1995 when it was about to close. In 2007, we shall be staging nearly 200 events there.
Worcester needed a yearly festival - at least, that's what we thought in 2002. So, we started one. This year, there will be 363 events. I love it.
We re-opened the Swan in April 2003. It is bursting with high-quality amateur work, dance, music, comedy, professional and youth theatre. And, as most of you probably know, we have just finished the first ever Shakespeare At The Commandery. It was a huge success despite the poor weather.
Worcester and Worcester Live. I love them both!
