WORCESTER MP Mike Foster has been given a tour of the site where the city's "most exciting development in 30 years" will be built.
Mr Foster was shown around the 11-acre former Royal Infirmary site in Castle Street, which will be transformed into a £200 million University of Worcester second campus, including a joint public and university library, by 2012.
Mark Pearce, director for Advantage West Midlands which arranged Mr Foster's tour, said: "This is a brilliant example of partnership working. The county council, the university and city council have come together to produce a vision for Worcester that we are proud to support."
Mr Foster said: "This is the most exciting development Worcester has seen in the past 30 years. It will both transform this part of the city centre and promote the university in the premier league of higher education institutions."
