VICTIMS of the recent floods have been offered help clearing waste and debris from their homes.
Waste management company HIPPOWASTE is donating its flexible bags, which are an alternative to skips, plus free collections to help the clean-up operation.
James Bennett, chief executive, said: "As a company that not only regularly deals with the clearance of waste from properties but also partners reactive maintenance companies, we wanted to help in the most effective way we can.
"By assisting those affected, we hope to help with the huge clear-up task ahead and ease the ordeal of the recent extreme weather conditions.
"Our bags can hold up to 1.5 tonnes of waste, including old carpets, furniture and bulky waste items, and can be positioned close to where the waste needs to be removed."
The HIPPOBAG is also environmentally-friendly, with more than 80 per cent of the waste collected being recycled.

The company also runs a community grants scheme, which awards free waste disposal to charities, schools and community groups undertaking projects involving an element of waste disposal.
Applications for this scheme are also welcome from those affected by the floods or anyone involved in the clear-up operation.
