A motorcyclist, who stopped at traffic lights, was grabbed around the throat by a driver.
The attack happened yesterday at about 10am, near to the temporary traffic lights on Stourport bridge.
The 20-year-old victim was at the lights by the leisure centre, waiting to cross the bridge into the town centre. The offender, who was driving in the opposite direction, towards Walshes estate, stopped his car - a white Mitsubishi Galant - next to the victim, leaned through the car window, and grabbed him by the neck.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
PC Darren Broom, of Kidderminster police, said: "The victim, who was not injured, has told us there was a queue of traffic behind him waiting at the traffic lights, and we are appealing for the drivers or passengers of these vehicles."
