A HEALTH and safety day for the over 50s will be held at Ronkswood Community Centre.
The Worcestershire Neighbourhood Network (WiNN) is holding Wise and Well, a health and safety awareness day tomorrow at the centre between 10am and 2pm.
The free event is aimed at providing information to help older people keep themselves in good shape.
More than 20 organisations will be at the event and there are demonstrations of dance and exercise.
West Mercia Constabulary will be there to advise on keeping safe, while Wiltshire Farm Foods will have tips on healthy eating. Entry is free, and refreshments are provided.
WiNN is a partnership between the statutory, voluntary, community and business organisations that aim to improve support services for the over 50s.
It is a two-year pilot initiative funded by the Department of Health. The group is targeting people between the ages of 50 and 65.
Anyone looking for more information on the event should call organisers on 01905 756449.
Those needing transport can book a place on the FlexiLink service on 08456 077077. Those with mobility problems can call the WiNN team on 01905 20327.
