SHOPPERS are being reminded to keep an eye on their bags - after two were stolen from a Worcestershire supermarket.

The thefts occurred at Sainsbury's, in Carpet Trades Way, Kidderminster, on Monday afternoon.

A 61-year-old woman reported her navy handbag, containing £65, a mobile phone worth £30, and bank and store loyalty cards, was stolen from the boot of her silver Vauxhall Astra car while she was loading her shopping in at about 2.15pm.

And an 88-year-old woman reported her Bag For Life plastic shopping bag, containing her purse and keys, was stolen from off her trolley between 1.45 and 2.40pm.

It is not known how much money was in the purse.
