A DERELICT social club in Worcestershire has been burnt to the ground in a suspected arson attack.
The former Sugar Beet factory on Stourport Road, Kidderminster, has been completely destroyed by the fire which broke out just before 3.30am today.
Police are treating it as suspicious and want to hear from witnesses.
Detective Constable Stephe Dyer of Kidderminster CID said: "We would very much like to speak to a young man who approached a firefighter and said he had seen the fire from his bedroom window, and witnessed three lads running away.
"This young man is described as being aged 17 to 20, and was walking with a girl from Stourport towards Kidderminster, on the opposite side of the road to the fire."
Anyone with information should call police on 08457 444888 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
