A MAN was taken to hospital after being found disorientated in Worcestershire field.

A lorry driver called West Midlands Ambulance Service to Kempsey just after 3.15am this morning after coming across a car lying on its side, just passed Edwards Garage.

When crews arrived the found the car and a nearby damaged hedge but no sign of the driver.

However, shortly afterwards they found the 20-year-old, who comes from the Upton-upon-Severn area, in a nearby field.

It is not known how he came to be there.

"Thankfully the 20-year-old had no significant injuries other than a number of cuts, bumps and bruises," said an ambulance spokesman.

"The crew stabilised his condition at the scene before taking him to the Royal Worcester Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
