Excitement is building for this year's Bromyard Gala as 10 rescue dogs and 10 pure breeds - including a miniature schnauzer and a rottweiller - perform together.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 7-8, Paws For Thought will be at Birchyfields Farm in Bromyard. The action-packed shows, which are sponsored throughout the year by dog wormer Drontal, will be filled with fun for both adults and children.

Dan White, Drontal product manager, said: "The dogs will wow the crowds by jumping through hoops of fire, running through tunnels, and revealing their excellent agility, which also includes the very latest craze - Flyball Racing.

"Our primary intention as sponsors is to promote responsible pet ownership and one of the best examples of this can be found in the Paws for Thought team."

Among the Paws for Thought team is a Collie named Bob who was rescued, and given a loving home. He was spotted being dragged along behind a tractor, as the driver attempted to kill him.

All the team dogs are wormed four times a year, Admission to Bromyard Gala is 8.50 for adults, 7 OAPs and 2 children.
