THE lives of monks at Pershore Abbey were explored by children at a local school.
Pupils at Abbey Park First School donned traditional outfits and experienced how life was at the abbey many years ago.
Year 4 teacher Jackie Rowe said: "It was a really fantastic day. The curate and vicar at the abbey were great. They showed the children around and explained what the monks would have done and how things have changed.
"The children enjoyed a basic traditional meal and were very excited about getting dressed up."
