A CITY hairdresser is bringing the glitz and glamour of designer hair styling and high fashion to Worcester in a special night to show off designer hairstyles and raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice.

Toni and Guy hair salon is set to host the event at Worcester's new Slug and Lettuce wine bar, formerly RSVP, on Friday, July 13.

A catwalk will run from the back of the venue, illuminated by balcony lights and brought to life by a live DJ. Models will also grace the catwalk to show off the latest in modern hairstyles. The fashion show is supported by some of the Worcester's leading fashion retailers including Fuel, Stripes, Roscoe and Crombie, K-Too and Petit Petite, whose clothes will dress the models.

Jason Koudoua, salon director and compere on the night, said: "We really wanted to show off what the Worcester salon can do by having a glitzy hair fashion-show. All proceeds from the event will go towards helping local life-limited children who use Acorns Children's Hospice, and also the Toni & Guy Charitable Foundation which aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for people in distress."

A raffle with free haircuts, colours, and a hamper from Debenhams will also be at the show, where all the models are local Toni & Guy clients.

Tickets cost £10, and are available from Toni & Guy in Foregate Street, and all participating Worcester retailers: Fuel, Stripes, Roscoe and Crombie, K-Too and Petit Petite. For all enquiries call: 01905 731111.
