PEOPLE aged over 50 are being given the means to fight physical inactivity.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has launched its Active for Later Life toolkit, which urges organisations, from local councils to small businesses and community groups, to help people keep active as they get older.
Claire Goodman, BHF's regional director, said: "It's vital that we keep moving as we age. "Although people should take responsibility for their own health, it is also important that they have the help and resources in their area to help them keep fit. This step-by-step guide makes it easy for local authorities to ensure they are doing their bit."
