HEALTH-conscious youngsters at the Grove Infants School have spent a week learning how to look after their bodies.
As well as learning exercise, yoga and massage skills, pupils were visited by Malvern chiropractor Catherine Owers, who taught them about Straighten Up UK, a new programme aimed at improving people's posture.
As well as learning the three-minute posture care programme, the children got to examine models of the spine to see how the bones and nerves move.
Headteacher Margaret Lynch said the school's Exercise Is Good For You week had been a great success, and that promoting a healthy lifestyle was an important part of education.
"The Straighten Up programme has already been a great success in Australia and America and is designed to help children look and feel their best," she said.
"By promoting balance, strength and flexibility the risk of getting back problems in the future is reduced."
