TWENTY four new homes are set to be built in Malvern as long as the developer makes minor adjustments to the roof design on three of them.

Malvern Hills District Council is in favour of the development on land off North End Lane but has asked David Payne Homes Ltd to make a small amendment to hip the roofs of the homes on plots four, five and 14.

Outline planning permission was granted for the site last year and members of the southern area development control committee scrutinised the detailed plans at a meeting last week.

The scheme consists of 14 detached, semi-detached and terraced units with an apartment building.

There were two letters of objection expressing concern over the density of the development It was decided to approve the scheme when minor adjustments are made to the roofs of three of the properties.
