UPTON-upon-Severn escaped any flooding problems last night after preparing for the worst.
Emergency procedures had been put in place in the town on Wednesday, June 27 and the river was expected to flood up to 21 properties.
A spokesman for the environment agency said the water level had peaked at midnight last night but because of the barriers being up, no problems have been reported.
Two flood warnings are still in place in Worcester city and on the Teme from Bransford Bridge and Powick. The River Severn and River Avon are also on flood watch.
The water level is dropping steadily after peaking yesterday but the environment agency added they would be monitoring the situation carefully, especially with the rain expected at the weekend.
Most main roads are also now open, including Hylton Road in Worcester and the A443 towards Lindridge. But still closed are some of the more rural areas, including the Ford at Kempsey and the bridge at Shelsley Beauchamp.
