TWO men who claimed they were looking for a lost cat entered a pensioners home in Evesham and stole £80 in cash.

The two men - who had Irish accents - made their way onto the rear of the house yesterday afternoon and started "looking for the cat".

One man entered the house and tried to lure the pensioner out, before they left in a H-reg silver Vauxhall Cavalier when she warned she was calling the police.

After the duo had gone the woman discovered that her black, fabric handbag - containing a brown purse, £80 cash and a diary was missing.

The first man was white, more than 5ft tall, around 18 years old and pale-faced. He wore blue jeans, a pale T-shirt, thick grey gardening gloves and black boots or shoes.

The second was also around 18, stocky and shorter than the other man with a dark complexion. He wore a blue cap, blue jeans and short-sleeved checked shirt.
