A WOMAN passenger travelling in a car driven by an unlicenced and uninsured driver died when it left the road, an inquest heard.

Zana Karim, a 21-year-old food operative, of Fir Way, Blackpole, Worcester, was in the back seat of a Rover being driven by Zewar Aziz when it was involved in an accident on Cotswold Way, Blackpole, on Boxing Day last year.

Worcestershire County Coroner's Court in Stourport-on-Severn was told yesterday how the driver of the car following saw the Rover sliding off the road in a spin.

County coroner Victor Round said: "There were also two people in the car coming the other way who saw this vehicle in the air, going across in front of them.

"The police checked the vehicle and there was nothing wrong with it. The investigator said it must have been going fast but he could not give a speed."

The inquest was told how Mr Aziz had less than 10mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood when the legal limit is 80mg.

Mr Round said: "I'm satisfied on the evidence that Mr Aziz got into difficulty driving that car but we do not know exactly why.

"It wasn't alcohol but he was going fast. I'm satisfied it was accidental death."

Mr Round said that charges had been brought against Aziz but that he has since disappeared.
