The Group 3 monthly meeting was hosted by our own branch on May 30 at Madresfield Club. The chairman thanked our president David Brickell, for hosting the meeting in his absence.

Circulation of the branch diary has begun and if any members have not received theirs or if they would like a further copy, please contact John Mason who will be happy to oblige.

As mentioned at the last meeting we have a confirmed booking for the dinner on the evening of Sunday, September 9, at the Worcester Warriors ground, Sixways, and a menu is now available for the event. We are asked to advise the chef in advance of our meal preferences and the co-operation of those attending would be appreciated to facilitate this request.

Please note that the meeting in July will be the last branch meeting before the meal, as we do not meet in August.

Payment for the meal will be required in advance and no later than August 1.

Good news from the county. We are advised that at national conference, a decision was taken to defer any changes in the financial arrangements for branches for a further year to allow for adequate consultation all round.

The Three Counties Rally at Hereford on Sunday, July 15, will be attended by our branch standard and members. Weather permitting it should provide quite a spectacle.

The Group 3 rally in the form of a short march and Drum Head service on Sunday, July 22, to be held at Leigh Memorial Hall goes ahead as planned and as many members as possible are asked to support this local event.

Just a reminder that we are always looking for help with the poppy collection and any members of our community who would like to help us in late October and early November for a few hours should contact John Mason. The next branch meeting will be on Tuesday, July 10 at Madresfield Club at 8.15pm.
