FLOOD barriers are going up in two Worcestershire towns following today's torrential rainfall.
Defences are currently being installed in Upton-upon-Severn and are expected to be put up in Bewdley later tonight.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said of the Upton barriers: "It has been forecast that there will be water up against them by later on tonight."
He said the Bewdley barriers were more of a "precaution".
Worcester's flood defences are not believed to be going up tonight, although the situation will be reviewed in the morning.
