ART inspired by the bright lights and colours of world-famous carnivals is being exhibited in Malvern.
Painter Keith Baugh is showing his work at the Malvern Theatre Gallery from until August.
Entitled Circus Women, Jazz and Rock n' Roll, the exhibition includes a colourful and vibrant series of figurative paintings inspired by visits to Cirque du Soleil, Mardi Gras and the Notting Hill Carnival. Mr Baugh, whose studio overlooks the River Severn, said: "I've tried to give these new paintings an aura of mystique and a certain edge.
"I love the larger than life spectacle of the carnival, of mardi gras, of dancers, musicians, fire-eaters and circus performers and I've enjoyed painting these exotic and flamboyant costumes and the decorative and sensual, painted faces.
"I've tried to capture that special attitude and atmosphere - the smell of the grease paint."
The exhibition is open daily at the Malvern Theatre Gallery in Grange Road, Malvern from 10am until 6pm.
