INTREPID Sue Webber from Droitwich has completed her first tandem skydive, dropping 13,000ft from a light aircraft and reaching a top of speed of 120mph, all in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.
She said: "This really was one of the most exciting, nail-biting, exhilarating things that I have ever done in my life. My skydive instructor put me at ease as we sat in the plane and climbed to a height of about 13,000 feet.
"Then, when it was time to jump, we counted down and literally fell out of the plane. I was told that we reached a top speed of 120mph on the way down!."
So far, she has raised at least £575 for the Bath Road charity that gives free nursing care, practical and emotional support to children who are chronically ill or have a life-limiting conditions and she still has donations left to collect.
