A MAN has died following a crash between a car and a lorry in Evesham yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4pm on the A46 between Twyford and Badsey roundabouts, for the A44 and B4035.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police has confirmed the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa involved in the crash, a 19-year-old man from Evesham, died and next of kin have been informed.
Stan Giles, a resident of the Orchards housing estate off Offenham Road near the scene of the incident, said he saw eight police cars, a fire engine, and ambulance arrive at the scene.
He said the Midlands Air Ambulance then arrived at around 4.20pm, and landed in the field nearby. The ambulance took off at 7.30pm.
A road closure was put in the place by police after the incident as specialist cleaning crews were brought in to clear the large spillage on the road.
The road reopened at around 9am this morning.
