ASPIRING film-makers from Worcestershire are being invited to take part in a major Midlands film festival.
The Cinematic short film festival, now in its fifth year, gives makers of short films the chance to shine, with all short-listed entries being shown on the giant screen of the IMAX cinema in Birmingham - the only one in the region. Entries, which must not be more than 10 minutes long, can be entered into the drama, documentary, animation and experimental categories. A panel of judges will make awards in each, as well as for best student film and overall most innovative film. A People's Choice award means the festival's audience can also vote for their favourite film. Anyone interested in submitting a film needs to call 0121 3315400, e-mail cinem@tic.ac.uk or visit www. tic.ac.uk/cinematic.
The Cinematic festival takes places in October. Entry is free but seats must be booked in advance.
