A LARGE screen display will be set up in the Priory Church in Malvern to give the audience at a free organ recital a close-up of the international performer at work.
Martin Setchell, professor of organ at Christchurch University, New Zealand, will be playing in the Great Malvern church at noon on Saturday, June 30.
Mr Setchell, who is a native of Blackpool, emigrated to New Zealand and is now a renowned international recitalist. He has performed in China, Poland, Japan, Australia, Canada, USA, Germany, Singapore and England.
He believes organ music should be entertaining, and his programme for the Malvern concert includes Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No 4, Robert Prizeman's Toccata and dances from Edward German's Henry VIII.
The audience will be able to get a close look at the organist at work through a video link to the organ console which will be displayed on the large screen.
