A MYSTERY man who helped a cyclist after they were both involved in a traffic collision is being sought.
Police are trying to trace the driver of the metallic blue Toyota Yaris which was in collision with the cyclist at the junction of Lion Court and Sansome Walk, Worcester, at about 7.50pm on Monday, June 18.
"The driver who was in his early 20s and of Chinese origin waited until an ambulance arrived, helped the cyclist and even took witness details, but he has not yet come forward to report the incident to us," said a police spokesman.
"There may be a perfectly reasonable explanation why a driver who has been so diligent and helpful at the scene has not come forward and anyone who knows him should be advising him to do so as we still need to speak to him."
The cyclist, who it is believed was riding against the one-way system when the Toyota pulled out of Lion Court, was treated in the Accident & Emergency Department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police also want to hear from anyone who saw the incident.
Witnesses should call 08457 444888, quoting 678S/180607, or give information, anonymously, to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
