VILLAGERS in Throckmorton enjoyed a classical concert featuring the Worcestershire Young Musician Of The Year.
Violin player Joanne Lucas was joined by Joe George on piano for a programme which took the audience half way around the world and across four centuries. The concert was organised by villager Bill Dalrymple and took place at Throckmorton chapelry, with all funds going towards the village fund.
Joanne, aged 14, is a student at Kingsley College, Redditch, and delighted the audience with recitals of Pacobel's Canon, Elgar's Chanson du Matin and Salut d'Amour, before ending with a vigorous Hungarian dance by Czarda.
She won the Worcestershire Young Musician award in November. Joe is a familiar face with the Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society and played compositions including Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata.
