A restaurateur has organised an event to give something back to the charity which has helped his son overcome speech problems.
Jay Haque, owner of the Shunarga, in Pershore, has organised the special fund-raising evening for Thursday, July 5, at 6pm.
All proceeds will go towards I Can, which has given Jay's son Shaan the confidence to overcome speech problems as he approaches the beginning of his school life.
Jay said: "This charity helps all people with learning difficulties and supported my son so much. I just think the least I can do is give something back.
"He has been going there for a year and the improvement has been fabulous.
"He is a very shy boy and he still is when talking to adults but he is better around other children and there is no stopping him now.
"I Can has been brilliant for him and I want to pay them back for their amazing work.
"We will be preparing a lot of new dishes which people wouldn't normally find in an Indian restaurant, such as chicken stuffed with vegetables, swordfish or salmon. Anyone interested in the evening can call the restaurant or pop in to have a look at the menu."
The seven members of staff at the Shunarga will be donating all of their day's pay towards the charity as well. After the tsunami disaster on Boxing Day 2004, Jay staged a similar charity evening and raised £1,900.
For more information on the evening, contact the Shunarga on 01386 555357 or Jay on 07772 360339.
