IT'S time to go quackers this summer and adopt a duck from a Worcestershire hospice.
Hundreds of ducks will be launched into the river Severn at Worcester in the St Richard's Hospice Duck Race, in association with Worcester Festival on Saturday, August 11.
Small ducks can be adopted for £3 each or a large duck at just £5. The first large duck over the line will win £50 of shopping vouchers and the first small duck will win £25 of vouchers.
Tricia Cavell, St Richard's Hospice fund-raising manager, said: "Adopt your duck today. Each duck will be allocated a number so here's hoping yours is a lucky ducky.
"It will be a great spectacle watching the ducks race from Worcester Bridge, South Quay to Worcester Cathedral.
"And it's a great way to raise funds for our care of our patients and families."
