DAVE "The Bullet" Smith was hoping he didn't have "a domestic" with his wife Audrey at the Three Counties Show. Because her finger was on the controls of the 35ft cannon that fired human cannonball Dave across the main arena twice a day.
Get on the wrong side of her and Audrey could have swung the barrel round and launched her husband head first straight into the side of the Malvern Hills.
"I put a lot of faith in my wife," said Dave. "Once I'm down the barrel of that cannon, she's my eyes and ears. I trust her judgement absolutely."
