VISITORS to the Three Counties Show are being given the chance to change the world.

The stand of the Environment Agency focusses on climate change with everyone invited to do their bit.

"Our job is to look after people's environment and make it a better place for them and for future generations," said Natasha Cuffley, the Agency's external relations officer.

"Climate change could affect everyone so we all need to act now to reduce its impact.

"Youngsters are being asked to make a promise for climate change on our 'wisdom tree' or take part in our free climate change treasure hunt and water game.

"We have also teamed up with the Young Anglers Project to offer free angling coaching to under 16s. We want to promote the sport as it can bring huge benefits to society, the environment and the economy.

"During the show we hope that at least 500 young people will have the opportunity to catch some fish and that could result in the start of a life long passion."

The Agency was also demonstrating a model farm, illustrating soil care, water conservation and manure management.
