A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries following an accident with a loader.
He was working on the hydraulic ramp of a low loader when the incident happened at about 10.20am today outside a haulage yard in Crab Lane, Wadborough, near Pershore.
Within minutes of the call, West Midlands Ambulance Service team leader Dave Newey and trainee paramedic Kate Webberley arrived to find the man at the rear of the low loader.
Mr Newey said: "When we arrived, we could see the patient had serious leg injuries.
"We treated him on scene, immobilising and stabilising him and preparing him for transport by helicopter."
The man was given pain relief before being airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital's trauma unit in Birmingham.
