THE ultimate theatrical scam will unfold at Birmingham Hippodrome next month.
Popular comedians Joe Pasquale and Russ Abbot are both starring in the smash hit musical The Producers, and the Worcester News has three pairs of tickets to give away on opening night.
Direct from the West End, Mel Brooks's comedy has won every major best new musical award, including the Laurence Olivier and Evening Standard, as well as the most Tony Awards in Broadway history.
It tells the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock and his hapless accountant Leo Bloom who hatch a seemingly foolproof money-making scheme - they decide to produce a sure-fire Broadway disaster and then pocket the left-over cash when the show flops. Complications arise when the show, Springtime For Hitler - The Musical, unexpectedly turns out to be successful.
